dc.description.abstractDaniel Bell is the Protestant chaplain at Tufts University. He was born in 1986 and grew up in what he describes as a loving family in the suburb of Setauket, Long Island, NY. Reverend Bell is a graduate of Gordon College, where he studied history, biblical studies, and theology and completed a divinity degree at Yale University. In 2015, Daniel helped start a youth community group at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church supporting LGBTQ+ teens known as “Be You.” His October 2023 interview speaks about his faith community, reconciling his faith with his queer identity, coming out, finding support, community organizing, Be You, generational changes, and liberation for all.
