Coco Alinsug

Abstract

Constantino A., “Coco” Alinsug was born and raised in a political family in Cebu City in the Philippines. He is Lynn’s first openly gay city councilor. He comes from a family with a strong political and community tradition of service. Coco was the first Executive Director from Lynn of the North Shore Alliance of GLBTQ+ Youth, NAGLY. Coco came to the US in 1996 and has been a resident of Lynn since 2003, where he lives with his husband Peter. His November 2023 interview discusses growing up in the Philippines, family, religion, moving to America, volunteer work, relationships, 47 Central, chosen family, and community.
