This study will explore the parenting experiences of individuals with physical disabilities, and the supports that they may or may not utilize to facilitate their roles as parents. Research suggests that parents often rely on informal supports, such as family and friends, if they need assistance with childrearing. Understanding the needs of parents with physical disabilities can create more impactful interventions to help individuals participate in childrearing, thus fulfilling their important parenting role.
