| dc.description.abstract | Salem Hospital features a variety of programs for the community and youth; however, the number of applications has decreased as a result of COVID-19. The pandemic has altered the way the internship for Salem Public High Schools is conducted. Prior to the pandemic, it was in person, then shifted abruptly to remote during the pandemic, and now it is hybrid for the Summer 2022 internship. The purpose of the project was to demonstrate the current internship statistics and enhance the number of student interns in the coming years. Our data indicate more students are interested in participating and seizing internship opportunities in hospital. | |
