V147 — Nelson Dionne Collection. View of the Market House, also known as old Town Hall, from Front Street. The marketplace in front of the building appears to be bustling; carts are visible lining Derby Square with their wares, and the scene is full of people. A sign for [C.J.] Morris Eating House with the tagline "Meals at All Hours" is faintly visible above one of the (since bricked up) basement entrances to the building. Published by Charles G. Fogg at 163 Essex Street, Salem, Mass., c. 1873-76. View is the same as SV150, published by S. Grindal.
