Adolescents with and without cognitive impairments utilize the internet and social media as a means of entertainment, communication, and engagement. Due to the increased engagement of adolescents on the internet and social media, parents have expressed a variety of concerns, as well as benefits related to their adolescent’s participation. The purpose of this study is to determine parent’s perception of the risks and benefits of internet and social media use and determine if there is a difference in parent perception based on the adolescent’s cognitive function.Sponsor
